Springing Into Action

It’s hard to believe we’re already talking about spring when we’ve just wrapped up some of the biggest manatee festivals of the year—some of which truly felt like winter! With cold fronts still lingering, manatees continue to seek shelter in their warm-water refuges, and our incredible Volunteer Mana-team has been out every weekend making a difference. Through our combined efforts in outreach and fundraising, we’ve connected with more people than ever before and raised vital funds to support manatee conservation. This incredible impact wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our volunteers, who dedicate their time and energy to protecting manatees and inspiring others to take action.

Get Involved: Volunteer Opportunities This Spring

Lead Volunteer Hannah talks to Blue Spring State Park visitors about the Adopt-A-Manatee® program.

As we welcome the renewal of spring, we have several exciting ways for you to get involved:

  • Community Events & Festivals: Help us engage new supporters and raise funds at events across Florida.
  • Educational Outreach: Share your passion for manatees by educating students and the public about manatees and our conservation efforts.
  • Fieldwork & Habitat Cleanups: Take part in hands-on activities like beach and park cleanups to protect manatee habitat.

Join the Volunteer Mana-team!

Save the Manatee Club is eternally grateful for all our volunteers—past, present, and future! Their dedication and passion inspire us every day. If you’re not yet part of our Volunteer Mana-team, we’d love for you to join us! You can learn more about our opportunities and sign up on our volunteer page.

If you’re a returning volunteer or unsure of your status, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
