Register for the 21st Annual Save the Manatee 5K

Race Shirt Medal Bib 2024

By Cora Berchem, Director of Multimedia and Manatee Research Associate

Get ready for another year of supporting manatees by doing your favorite activity! Registration is open for the 21st annual Save the Manatee 5K event! The in-person race will be held on Saturday, September 28, at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township, Michigan, and the virtual option is open year-round and can be completed anywhere at any time.

Not a runner? No problem! You can complete the event by doing an activity of your choice: walk, bike, hike, kayak, paddleboard, rollerblade, ice skate, swim—the choice is yours. If you are up for that competitive edge, runners and walkers can post their results online! This year, Save the Manatee Club will also host an in-person meetup in Central Florida to complete the virtual run or walk together. This will be an informal, un-timed meetup that promises tons of fun meeting other participants, learning about manatees and having a fun morning together. Details on date and place are coming soon; stay tuned!

For all events, register at savethemanatee5k.com. Each race packet includes a shirt, bib and finisher medal.
