First-Ever Golf Tournament Raises Almost $10K for Manatee Conservation Efforts

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, Save the Manatee Club hosted its first-ever charity golf tournament at Hidden Lakes Golf Club in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Chessie was released back into the wild on May 11, 2021, at Anchorage Park in Palm Beach, Florida.

On February 5, 2021, our partners rescued an emaciated manatee swimming sideways near Riviera Beach, Florida, who turned out to be famed manatee Chessie.

This is the 5th calf for Annie. There’s no word yet on whether this latest calf is a boy or a girl.

Annie Visits With Her New Calf

On May 13, 2021, Annie, one of Save the Manatee Club’s adoptees, made a visit to Blue Spring, and she had a little calf with her!
