Lesley Argiri and Brian McDonald 5K Scholarship Fund
The Lesley Argiri and Brian McDonald 5K Scholarship Fund is established to support and encourage outstanding individuals pursuing a graduate degree in Marine or Aquatic Biology. This scholarship aims to promote excellence in marine and aquatic biology research, contribute to the conservation and sustainability of aquatic ecosystems, and honor the contributions of Lesley Argiri and Brian McDonald, a dedicated husband-and-wife duo and educators at L'Anse Creuse Public Schools. They launched the Michigan Save the Manatee 5K in 2003, which has since raised $414.8K in lifetime giving through race registrations, manatee adoptions, and donations.
