LONGWOOD, FL—Looking for a perfect gift to show your appreciation this Father’s Day? Look no further than a manatee from Save the Manatee Club’s Adopt-A-Manatee® program. Your father figure will receive a personalized adoption certificate with a photo and unique biography of a real living manatee studied by research teams in Florida. It’s the perfect gift for the dad who has it all.
There are 34 adoptable manatees in the program, including Chessie, who has made the journey from Florida’s east coast to the Chesapeake Bay at least twice, and Nick, who has been known to travel north while other manatees are traveling south for the winter.
Manatee adoptions start at just $25, and each adoption also includes a one-year Save the Manatee Club membership, which provides a newsletter with updates on adoptable manatees and other important manatee information. For a limited time, adoptions at the $35 level or above will also include a special gift.
By participating in the Adopt-A-Manatee program, individuals directly support Save the Manatee Club in its mission to protect imperiled manatees and their habitat. The funds raised assist with emergency rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts, as well as scientific research, education, and public awareness programs.
This Father’s Day, give a gift that makes a difference. Adopt-A-Manatee and show a dad your love while helping to protect these incredible, defenseless marine mammals. Please order by Friday, May 31, 2024, for delivery by Father’s Day. To Adopt-A-Manatee, visit adoptamanatee.org or call 1-800-432-JOIN (5646).
