Typically, our summer schedule is less busy, but this year has been exceptional! After a full manatee festival season over the winter, we attended the launch of the Save Manatees USPS postage stamp in late March. April was packed with activities, where we showed appreciation to our amazing Volunteer Mana-team and celebrated Earth Month at nine different events. In May, we attended the SoFlo Boat Show in Miami as part of our educational outreach. June saw multiple outreach events, too, followed by the St. Pete Pier Run in July, several tribute events to our late co-founder, Jimmy Buffett, various water and animal conservation events, and an expansion of our educational outreach. We also participated in numerous cleanup events and continue to stay active. We are thrilled to have so many opportunities to spread our message of manatee support, and it’s wonderful to see that folks adore manatees year-round! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible volunteers for making all this possible. Your dedication and hard work have helped us achieve so much, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
