The health and survival of manatees depends upon the health of their environment. Your help is needed to create better, cleaner habitat for Florida's manatees
In February, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) held Public Hearings for Proposed Water Quality Standards for the State of Florida's Lakes and Flowing Waters. If you were not able to attend, you can still submit written comments. Written comments must be received on or before March 29, 2010.
What You Can
Do:
- Citizens are needed to tell personal stories of why they support the numeric criteria. If your favorite water body has been affected by algae blooms, red tide, or other water quality problems related to nutrient pollution, please tell your story!
